Study smarter when the work starts to pile up
Studying harder is rarely the answer when you already feel behind. More hours can help for a short period, but confusion, weak priorities and an unrealistic plan will keep consuming those hours. The first job is to make the work visible.
Begin with the next useful action
A module name is not a task. Neither is “revise economics” or “work on the essay”. A useful action is small enough to begin without another planning session. Open the assessment brief. List the required sections. Read one source and capture its central claim.
When the next action is clear, resistance usually falls. You are no longer trying to complete an entire degree in one sitting. You are completing one defined piece of work.
Separate understanding from production
Students often attempt to learn a topic and produce polished work at the same time. That creates unnecessary pressure. First build understanding through reading, explanation and questions. Then organise your ideas. Only then move into writing or revision output.

Keep three views of your workload:

Finish by leaving a clear restart point
At the end of every study session, write down the exact next action. That small habit removes the need to reconstruct your thinking when you return.
